About Shafa home

Owing to his 8 years of expertise and experience, Mr. Ranjan Dhar was approached by a group of recovering addicts on November 22nd, 1999. The goal was to help persons suffering from drug and alcohol addiction to recover physically, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. Together, they set up the first-if-its-kind Therapeutic Community in India to offer de-addiction treatment and psychiatric services in a treatment model never used before. While other treatments available at that time only addressed the physical aspect of the disease, limited to withdrawal management, Shafa began to fix the root cause of this disease, without providing any mood-altering substance as a substitute to the patient\\\\\\\'s drug of choice. This is how India first witnessed the dawn of modern drug deaddiction treatment, here at Shafa.
